About The Position

The Liquor License Lead is responsible for the direct supervision of licensed area operations including providing outstanding customer service and assuring associates are following company policies and procedures. The Liquor License Lead is also responsible for ensuring that associates comply with all state liquor laws regarding the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages. He/she is also responsible for achieving production and budget objectives and writing associate work schedules. Pay Transparency: The pay for this position is $18.25 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Requires strong written and oral communication skills, good leadership and interpersonal skills, the proven ability to manage people, and the ability to maintain composure in dealing with customers and co-workers.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Requires knowledge of basic math and weights and measures
  • Thorough understanding of Acme policies and procedures.
  • Possess sound working knowledge of financials.
  • In previous assignments performed at a high level with regards to financial performance.
  • Possess a general working knowledge of beer/wine brands and consumer trends.
  • Completed Food Safety I, Food Safety II, and General Safety Fundamentals, and can ensure that all associates stay up to date on food safety and safety training.
  • Must be checker qualified.
  • Must have knowledge of product variety, product location and perishability.
  • Requires the ability to judge and react to business activity.
  • Able to effectively lead team members towards achieving common goals.
  • Must complete RAMP training and maintain recertification every 2 years.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the licensed area, including, but not limited to: supervision of associates; providing customer service; achieving sales, gross profit, labor, shrink and inventory goals set for the licensed area; product ordering, quality, presentation, merchandising, organization, pricing, stocking, staffing, and training.
  • Ensure that all Acme policies and procedures are followed, including the restricted sales policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all state laws regarding the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages.
  • Collaborate with the Store Director and HR team to maintain RAMP certification records for Licensed area associates.
  • Effectively supervise 2-15 associates in a fast-paced and multi-functional environment and recommend appropriate disciplinary action to management.
  • Operate various store systems including POS and ordering tools.
  • Rotate and stock merchandise.
  • Maintain tag integrity and signage.
  • Develop and sustain a safe and clean department that is aligned with Acme environmental standards.
  • Must be available to work within the hours directed by the Store Director to serve our customers during peak business times.
  • Schedule associates within the parameters of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting dining area for customers.
  • Collaborate and work well with other team members.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Store Director.
