Liquid Asset Reliability Supervisor

About The Position

The Liquid Asset Reliability Supervisor provides direction, support, and leadership to the Liquid Asset Reliability staff to execute the area’s asset reliability objectives and activities. The role will focus on safety and quality initiatives, improving productivity and controlling costs in the area, as well as working with other support groups to innovative and provide solutions to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills and good written and oral communication
  • Results oriented and able to work in a fast paced, changing environment where a high degree of teamwork and collaboration are required
  • Ability to supervise others, handle multiple assignments, and work with a minimal amount of supervision
  • Ability to handle and resolve conflicts and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office programs and SAP are required
  • Strong leadership, customer service and organizational skills are required to ensure all projects and assignments meet customer expectations

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in working in an FDA regulated, GMP environment as well as an understanding of 5S and Continuous Improvement practices is preferred
  • Strong safety leadership, knowledge and experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Determines priorities in partnership with operations based on established plans and manages daily/weekly/monthly work schedules and vacation schedules
  • Directs all related personnel actions, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, discipline, and safety of their team
  • Develops and executes a training plan for their technicians and works with other areas to support training rotations
  • Responds to issues and coordinates work on off-shifts and weekends as necessary
  • Monitors quality of work including adherence to safety procedures to ensure safety of employees working in the area
  • Monitors departmental operating budget and works to hit established financial targets
  • Provides input on strategic direction
  • Leads reliability specific activities such as asset rebuilds
  • Works closely with support groups and contractors to coordinate needed work
  • Collaborates with planners, engineers, and asset reliability managers to assess spare parts and preventative maintenance plans to drive equipment reliability
