We are hiring a Linux System Administrator, Sr to support daily IT operations in our Sunnyvale, CA facility. This Enterprise Operations (EO) position supports Lockheed Martin Space. The selected candidate will be responsible for upgrades, operations and maintenance, hardware and software installations, and service requests (servers, workstations, containers, networking, and storage), as well as continuity of operations (backups and verified restore capabilities). In this position, the chosen candidate will utilize their system administration skills as primary IT support for a classified environment, with a focus on our Linux environment. Priority consideration will be given to qualified candidates who are currently affiliated with the Enterprise Business & Digital Transformation (EBDT) organization.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Knowledge of Linux/UNIX Server Administration
  • Knowledge of scripting skills to automate tasks on servers (including Perl, Bash and PowerShell)
  • Experience with vulnerability remediation and security management (i.e., system hardening, log management, configuration management (i.e., Yum, Nessus, CrowdStrike, WSUS, SCCM, Ivanti, Shavlik, Blade Logic, Splunk, ACAS, SCAP, HBSS, etc.)
  • Familiarization and knowledge related enterprise storage solutions: direct attached, NAS, and SAN (NetApp)
  • Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 60 days
  • Experience with software application installation
  • Ability to lift 30lbs
  • This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

  • Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Requirements
  • Direct work experience interfacing with vulnerability management
