This is an onsite position.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 5+ years of relevant IT systems experience.
  • Experience in system administration, with proficiency in both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Must have CompTIA Security+ CE.
  • Must have a VMware, Windows, or Linux Operating System (OS) certification.
  • US Citizenship and active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 3 technical remote and onsite support and guidance to NCTE Range end-users, addressing IT-related issues and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to system configurations and network connectivity for Range POR systems.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and best practices, with a focus on maintaining a secure IT environment.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory in Windows environments.
  • Writing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT systems and processes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues effectively.
  • Strong understanding of Linux operating systems especially Red Hat 6, 7, 8, and 9.
  • Strong understanding of Linux filesystems and LVM.
  • Understanding of operation and updating of Red Hat Satellite.
  • Ability to work with DNS and DHCP and Windows/Linux environments.
  • Understanding of Red Hat patching methods.
  • Familiarity with backup systems a plus.
  • Understanding of Linux networking.
  • Familiarity with VMWare ESXi and able to work with virtual Linux systems.
  • Up to 25% travel can be expected.
