Looking for a career where hard work is valued and your ideas and feedback are part of the way we operate daily Want to bring your skills to a company that encourages teamwork and champions continued education and process improvement Atlas Tech a veteran owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers in support of Americas warfighters is looking for an experienced Linux Engineer to join our team in Charleston SC You Will Provide knowledge in systems engineering and information technology as it relates to Service and Systems ManagementProvide technical knowledge to support and maintain Linux systemsInvestigate and resolve issues that span multiple applicationstechnologies and require involvement from technical personnel across multiple groupsDevelop solutions to solve problems and implement enhancementsProvide technical knowledge to support and maintain IT enterprise productsIntegrate COTS and GOTS software into CANES baselinesProvide technical knowledge to design systems that monitor and manage CANES baselinesProvide knowledge in systems engineering and information technologyDevelop andor revise system designs and architectures to improve efficiency stability effectiveness supportability and sustainabilityProvide feedback on internal processes and recommendations for improvementContribute to team efforts by accomplishing related taskings as directedProvide technical knowledge to design systems that monitor and manage DoD systemsPrepare technical briefs to present to engineering review teamsInstall test branches on physical hardware on lab equipment as first level integration testsVerify install documentation is executable

Requirements

• US Citizenship
• Department of Defense DoD Secret level Security Clearance or ability to obtain an interim security clearance prior to hire date
• DoD 81408570 Certifications as an Information Assurance Technician IAT Level II
• 4 years experience in a systems engineer role overseeing complex IT infrastructure
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux system development integration and testing
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite and YUM
• Experience securing Red Hat products in accordance with DoD standards
• Experience with programmingscripting languages
• Ability to effectively install configure and administer in a multi system andor multi application environment
• Ability to automate the installation and configuration of applications and services
• Working knowledge and experience with Agile framework and Scrum
• Knowledge of LinuxWindows OS and networking from a system design perspective
• Ability to create and test virtualized environments VMWare OpenShift Hyper V AWS
• Strong documentation and oral communication skills to clearly communicate with all levels of users engineers managers and organizations
• Ability to work with others in a highly collaborative environment
• Self Motivated strong work ethic and commitment to quality
• Ability to multi task and balance multiple goals and priorities

• A bachelors degree in computer science or engineering
• 8 years experience in systems engineering

Responsibilities
