About The Position

A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a Linux Administrator to join our Infrastructure Support team’s Data Center Services group. The Linux Administrator will administer, operate, and maintain the data centers, performing infrastructure upgrades and improving both physical and virtual servers. This position is 100% onsite.

Requirements

  • Experience with Linux servers, RHEL 8 and up.
  • Experience managing storage solutions.
  • Experience configuring storage for Virtual Machines.
  • Experience performing physical to virtual (P2V) migrations for servers.
  • Experience using Cisco IOS commands to configure network switches.
  • Experience performing SAN zoning.
  • Experience creating & troubleshooting Virtual Networks and vSwitches.
  • Experience scripting with Python and Bash.
  • Experience with Dell data domains.
  • Experience with DevOps tools, e.g. Ansible, Terraform.
  • Experience with VLAN network architecture.
  • Experience patching servers using automation.
  • Experience integrating Linux Objects in Active Directory/Entra.
  • Experience with formal change management processes.
  • Experience tracking and resolving incidents via ticket queue.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to adhere to maintenance windows and change control procedures.
  • Self-motivated to take ownership of projects.
  • Ability to multi-task between multiple networks and multiple customer requirements.
  • High School Diploma/GED and 14 years related experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Systems, Management Information Systems, IT Management, Engineering, Math or Science and 8 years related experience.
  • US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US
  • Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance.
  • Verification of past employment, education and references is also required.
  • It is imperative that candidates be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, operate, and maintain the enterprise data center (mix of Nutanix, Windows, Linux, and VMware).
  • Perform infrastructure upgrades and improve physical and virtual servers.
  • Rack and provision physical servers with basic infrastructure requirements.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization.
  • Perform capacity analysis and planning.
  • Perform storage hardware maintenance, including drive swaps.
  • Support weekend maintenance windows.
  • Plan and perform server research, design development, and other assignments in conformance with customer specifications.
  • Participate in the development of system designs, implantation tasks, and maintenance of systems.
  • Produce and adhere to server documentation, configuration, and related processes.
  • Write Knowledge Base Articles and update team wiki.
  • Perform server troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common hardware and operating system issues.
  • Provide Tier III support for data centers.
  • Perform emergency break/fix repairs.
