About The Position

Basalite Building Products, LLC is one of the largest manufacturers of concrete masonry products in the Western United States. Product lines include structural block, interlocking paving stones, engineered wall systems, retaining walls, ornamental and garden products, and a full range of sack goods. POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Tiger Superintendent, this position supports the California Production department and is accountable for the correct function of the equipment, clearing and fixing errors of the panels in the dry side and wet side, hand stacks blocks, and hand batch different material; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent
On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties.
Requires basic math, reading and writing skills.
Able to read the tape measure.
Ability to operate forklift and any other equipment required to perform duties.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

Sets up the different types of products.
Programs automated palletizing and cubing.
Recognizes defects on the equipment.
Stacks block by hand.
Assist machine operator as needed.
Communicates and report any issues to the supervisor or superintendent.
Checks blocks for defects or contamination.
Identifies poor quality and bad splits.
Performs hand batching of any materials that are need it, checking for quality.
Maintains a clean work area.
Operates forklift and any other equipment required to perform duties.
Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.
