About The Position

The Transmission Lineworker constructs, installs, repairs, maintains and removes distribution and transmission circuits, substations and associated facilities. Other duties of the position include install and remove transmission structures and related apparatus, patrol and inspect the transmission system, and construct and maintain assets in Rights-of-Way on both energized and de-energized circuits. In addition, the Transmission Lineworker may be required to perform tasks generally associated with lower rated classifications. This position requires mechanical aptitude, manual and finger dexterity, the ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions and climb and work on transmission poles and structures. Starting Rate of Pay: $56.06 per hour

Requirements

• The successful candidate must meet the requirements of a fully rated Lineworker 1 or the equivalent.
• IBEW represented Eversource NH applicants with a minimum of two years of experience in the construction, installation and maintenance of transmission level circuits and equipment shall receive first consideration for this position.
• Commercial Driver's license (Full Class A license) and safe driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Successful completion of the CAST aptitude test and an agility assessment, if applicable.
• Will have storm restoration and emergency assignments and must be available to work overtime for these assignments.
• The employee weight limit for this position is 300 pounds.
• This position is subject to the provisions of the Transmission Lineworker Agreement.
• This is a union represented position so anyone going into this position would be required to become a member of the union.
