About The Position

The Off-Site Linen Distribution Technician is responsible for managing the client’s linen needs throughout the facility. This role involves the careful handling and transportation of clean and soiled linen to prevent cross-contamination. The technician serves as the primary liaison between the company and the client, ensuring high service standards and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in healthcare, manufacturing, or similar industries.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude with leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and reach.
  • Capability to operate laundry equipment and handle carts and storage mechanisms.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and push or pull carts weighing up to 400 pounds.
  • Willingness to work evenings, night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Comfort with giving and receiving feedback.
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new applications.

Responsibilities

  • Transport clean linen in covered carts to designated areas.
  • Collect soiled linen from various locations and transport it in covered carts to designated areas.
  • Verify and document linen quantities for delivery.
  • Conduct linen inventory as required.
  • Address and resolve client issues promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding client concerns and linen quality.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing excellent support.
  • Uphold quality standards and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to established procedures and institutional requirements.
  • Operate equipment and perform duties necessary for the department’s success.
  • Follow all safety procedures and policies.
  • Perform general clerical duties such as typing and answering phones.
  • Comply with Joint Commission Standards.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
