We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Linen Distributor. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for the delivery of clean linen and scrubs to distribution points throughout the hospital. Inspects linen closets for quantities and delivers appropriate par levels. Replenishes scrub machines as needed. Consolidate linen trucks and stores linen in clean linen room. Prepares exchange carts for the next or following day.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, speak, write and follow written and oral instructions in English.

Nice To Haves

  • High school, GED or experience in related field.
  • Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provides delivery of clean linen.
  • Sets-up AM linen carts for delivery of linen to distribution points throughout the hospital.
  • Ensure the correct par is delivered to each unit.
  • Periodically checks for linen quality.
  • Removes excessive plastic liners from linen closets.
  • Organizes bulk linen trucks, consolidates like linen items and stores away in clean linen room.
  • Prepares exchange carts for following shift.
  • Replenishes scrub machines.
  • Collects soiled scrubs from machines.
  • Ensures linen areas; (soiled, clean, and uniform shop) are secured (closed and locked) at all times.
  • Performs supplemental linen deliveries as required.
  • Follows proper infection control measures when delivering linen to sterile locations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates reliability by maintaining a good attendance/punctuality record.
  • Adheres to departmental guidelines regarding use of and proper notification in connection with time off.
  • Adheres to Employee Health requirements for an annual health assessment, including TB screening and proof of all required immunizations.
  • Maintains a professional appearance; wears identification badge at all times while at the Medical Center.
