About The Position

The Linen Attendant is responsible for assuring an adequate quantity of linen is maintained and on board the vessels by restocking and delivering clean linen to all parts of the organization.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent GED.
Ability to interpret and follow rules, policies, and procedures.
Ability to maintain composure with courteous and professional demeanor.
Requires strong communication and organizational skills.
Must be experienced at multi-tasking and remain flexible in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
Microsoft Office experience.
Valid US driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Must pass a security background check and DOT drug test.

Nice To Haves

Experience in tourism and/or cruise industries.

Responsibilities

Unloading clean linen onto shelves in the clean linen room.
Matches counts of items received to items sent on invoice.
Restocks and delivers clean linen to the vessels after receiving linen orders from the vessels.
Keeps the Sitka Main Linen Room in clean and orderly condition.
Restocks linen periodically (Juneau facility).
Occasionally required to wash, dry, and sort linen in a Self-Service Laundry facility.
Conduct a complete count of linen after the season.
Store clean linen after the end of the season in Vacuum sealed bags.
Show a strong customer service mindset and warm hospitality when interacting with all guests and crew.
Maintain awareness of basic safety rules, workplace safety, and respect for the environment.
Special projects may be assigned as required by the business.
