About The Position

The Line Service Technician (LST) attends to all service needs as they relate to and transient aircraft, catering to the needs of the jet owners, guests, and crews. While a LST’s main job duties are focused upon the technical services provided to the aircraft (fueling, towing, parking, basic cleaning, etc.), exceptional customer service skills are vital for the successful completion of this role. The LST ensures that every arriving /departing aircraft receives all ground support services in a timely fashion with high energy and a smile.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be tactful, courteous and conscience of client needs
  • Must be available to work scheduled shift: Friday-Sunday, 6:30am - 6:30pm
  • Exceptional mathematical skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Physically able to stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Due to heavy interaction with clients, candidates must possess strong interpersonal and verbal skills
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions such as snow, sleet, rain and hot/cold temperatures

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of various aircraft types and servicing a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aircraft and ramp coordination during assigned shifts
  • Promotes and always maintains a positive image of Modern Aviation, to all personnel, members, volunteers, vendors, and the community.
  • Ensures a safe operation: protecting customers, staff, and equipment from harm.
  • Assists passengers and flight crews with our professional Seven Star Service: always offering additional services and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Responsible for the movement, placement, storage, de-icing, and fueling of an aircraft.
  • Operate a wide variety of aircraft ground support equipment.
  • Coordinate aircraft services, such as fuel and hangar storage.
  • Input trip data into scheduling software as well as updating customer information in database, as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate via air-to-ground radio and ground-to-ground radio, in addition to other forms of communication.
  • Educate customers on available services, promotions, and programs.
  • Process customer invoices.
  • Exemplifies ramp awareness regarding aircraft, debris on the ramp or impending inclement weather procedures.
  • Perform work with minimal supervision.
  • Performs other duties deemed necessary and assigned by shift-lead or Line Manager.
  • Understands that this position may expose the partner to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, machinery, and inclement weather.
