This role is responsible for safe, efficient, and professional ramp operations, including fueling, aircraft towing and positioning, team leadership, equipment readiness, facility appearance, and customer service execution. Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company insurance requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of line service experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in training and directing teams
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft fueling procedures, fuel quality control, and ramp safety
  • Willingness to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as required
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Leadership Presence: with the ability to set expectations, coach performance, and hold teams accountable
  • Adaptability and Change Management: Ability to respond effectively to changing operational demands

Responsibilities

  • Lead all line service operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant ramp activity at all times
  • Manage, handle, and dispense aviation fuels while maintaining strict quality control standards
  • Complete all required fueling documentation and applicable paperwork
  • Tow and position jet and piston aircraft; move aircraft in and out of hangars as needed
  • Perform and oversee ground support activities, including marshaling, baggage handling, and ramp readiness
  • Ensure compliance with ramp safety procedures, fueling standards, and operational best practices
  • Operate and oversee the daily operational readiness of fuel trucks and ground support equipment; coordinate maintenance needs with Facilities & Maintenance.
  • Ensure line staff adhere to fueling procedures and escalate compliance concerns as needed
  • Ensure equipment meets ATA 103 standards, environmental requirements, and local regulations
  • Monitor equipment condition and coordinate maintenance or repairs to minimize downtime
  • Maintain ramp readiness to support daily operations and peak traffic periods
  • Deliver outstanding customer service with professionalism, urgency, and accountability
  • Operate the fuel desk phone and facilitate fuel orders, rental vehicle bookings, and customer support requests
  • Resolve customer service issues quickly and effectively to protect relationships and SkyShare’s reputation
  • Coordinate closely with CSRs and flight crews to ensure seamless service execution
  • Train line service personnel and support ongoing coaching and development
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent safety and service standards
  • Set expectations for performance, safety, and professionalism on the ramp
  • Ensure staffing levels meet operational needs for daily operations and peak demand periods
  • Lead by example, reinforcing accountability, teamwork, and a safety-first culture
  • Ensure operational cleanliness and readiness of ramp areas, hangar spaces, and immediate operational surroundings; escalate facility issues to Facilities & Maintenance.
  • Support overall FBO operations by assisting with special projects or operational needs as assigned
  • Build and maintain reciprocal relationships with aviation customers and industry partners to increase fuel sales and loyalty
  • Support fuel sales initiatives and preferred customer pricing programs as directed
  • Submit payroll, approve vacation and time-off requests, and complete administrative duties related to team management
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall FBO success
