About The Position

Solvang Retirement is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Line/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This position plays an essential role in preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents in a warm, community-centered environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
  • Team-oriented attitude and reliability a must
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years prior experience in line cooking, short order cooking, or large-quantity meal prep
  • Training Experience

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in meal prep for daily service and special events
  • Cook to order and serve meals during meal service times
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and prep areas
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely and high-quality meal delivery
  • Support the Chef and Dietary Manager with menu execution and portion control
