The Placement Line Coordinator is a member of the foster care team who receives referrals from field staff for youth placement, primarily in non-relative foster care. You will attend team meetings to understand unique placement needs and to identify the most appropriate foster homes. You will consider youth needs, foster parent capacities, necessary support systems, and logistics to brainstorm placement options with the team. You must maintain proactive, positive, and effective communications with all parties to ensure matches meet the psychological, social, emotional, and physical support necessary. This position requires a keen sense of family structures, sensitivity to separation, and diplomacy when responding to difficult situations. This position works primarily from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and will serve Allen and surrounding northest counties. Residency in the service area is preferred. County of residence can be considered in assigning a local office.
