Dura-Line Line Operator in Sandersville,GA Company: Dura-Line, an Orbia Business JOB TITLE: Experienced Extrusion Line Operator LOCATION: Sandersville, GA SHIFT: Day Shift 7:45 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Night Shift : 7;45 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. (2-2-3 shift rotation) PAY: $19.25 plus $1.00 for night shift differential About Dura-Line: Dura-Line is a leading innovator in the manufacturing of HDPE extrusion lines, providing cutting-edge solutions for the telecommunications and infrastructure industry. We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Line Operator to join our dynamic team. If you have a strong background in extrusion operations, leadership experience, and a commitment to quality, we want to hear from you! Position Overview: As an Experienced Line Operator at Dura-Line, you will play a critical role in setting up and operating HDPE extrusion lines, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy. In addition to operating the line, you will serve as a backup to the Shift Supervisor when needed, showcasing your leadership capabilities.

Requirements

Strong mathematical skills: ability to perform basic calculations and measurements.
Knowledge and understanding of downstream operator and reel builder job duties.
Familiarity with smooth core procedures and operations.
Valid lift truck/forklift license is a plus.
Working knowledge of extruders, printers, reelers, vacuum systems, chiller systems, resin systems, pullers, quality control standards, and product specifications.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate HDPE extrusion lines, adjusting and documenting operating conditions to meet customer specifications.
Serve as a backup to the Shift Supervisor, demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
Ensure all products are produced free from cosmetic and physical defects and within manufacturing tolerances.
Monitor and adjust operating conditions to produce the highest attainable quality of pipe safely and efficiently.
Review product and equipment throughout the shift to confirm material and quality requirements are met.
Oversee and document the quality of the product run, maintaining accurate inventory transactions.
Record "Lost Production Hours," including reasons for lost time, and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with other operators to maintain production schedules and make necessary tooling changes.
