About The Position

Independently leads the performance of maintenance operations from verbal/written instructions and establish procedures to get assigned tasks accomplished. Performs advanced electrical repairs and mechanical maintenance on warehouse distribution equipment and facility systems on a routine basis relying on training and experience to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and keep the warehouse operations functioning in a safe and efficient manner. This opportunity is based in our Sales Marketing and Distribution Team. Working knowledge of how product is moved within the warehouse. Basic knowledge of the Job Safety Analysis relating to working around equipment. Assist in areas as needed. Shares information and works as a team to establish goals. Identify issues and helps to resolve them in a timely manner. Fills in as battery changer as needed. Perform other duties as directed by management. Displays ability to weld. Presents working knowledge of conveyor systems and controls. Draws on technical support sites, customer service contacts and internet troubleshooting resources as aides in repairing equipment as needed. Display ability to install, uninstall, repair and service conveyors and all warehouse machinery and equipment. Ability to perform duties at a high level with limited instructions or supervision. Performs emergency breakdown repairs. Understands importance of recovering from a production impacting downtime situation Performs basic training in maintenance skills to entry level maintenance personnel and other maintenance employees for cross-training. Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor as needed.

Requirements

• High School or Technical diploma preferred
• 6 months distribution experience
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
• Ability to prioritize and organize responsibilities and work independently
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime
• Must be able to successfully pass Equipment Operator training and operate equipment under established safety guidelines
• Medium lifting – 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Must be able to work from a variety of heights
• Must be able to provide personal hand tools
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to reason and make judgements and understand instruction and principles
• Hearing is required to hear instructions, receive information from various sources, and understand safety warnings
• Vision is required to read instructions and move inside and outside the warehouse without incident
