About The Position

The Line Mechanic position reports to the Maintenance Team Lead and is responsible for a variety of responsibilities including troubleshooting, line repairs, parts replacement, completing work orders, participation in PM's, cleaning and lubricating equipment according to pre-set standards, performing teardowns and set-up of equipment. Observing all safety regulations and ensuring GMP and quality standards are met to maintain the efficient flow of production. We will require a sound mechanical background to understand the theory of operation for all equipment. Starting pay up to $26.48 per hour + Attendance Bonus! ($0.50 for first shift and $0.60 for second shift, $0.70 per hour for 3rd shift.) You will be onsite at the facility located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. You will: Work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime Read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English Knowledge of basic hand/power tools Knowledge of Planned Maintenance and Maintenance Work cycle. Knowledge and skill in pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, piping, and power transmission. Have basic knowledge of welding, machining, and electrical. Complete work/purchase requests Move up to 75 lbs. You Have: Perform teardowns/set-ups of assigned equipment including completion of startup checklist Perform Planned Maintenance (PM) on assigned equipment Compete assigned corrective/maintenance work orders Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues Perform code verifications on individual/masters Complete parts replacement (e.g., motor, gearboxes, hoses, and pins) Participate in production line drumbeats Make minor line adjustments Complete required reports (e.g., PM, Work Orders, Centerline) and parts requisitions

Requirements

  • Work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime
  • Read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English
  • Knowledge of basic hand/power tools
  • Knowledge of Planned Maintenance and Maintenance Work cycle.
  • Knowledge and skill in pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, piping, and power transmission.
  • Have basic knowledge of welding, machining, and electrical.
  • Complete work/purchase requests
  • Move up to 75 lbs.
  • Train others in best practices.
  • Knowledge of Plant safety, GMP's, confined spaces.
  • Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
  • LOTO/PIT certified.
  • High school diploma or GED, Technical School.
  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance or related experience required.
