About The Position

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Packing finished goods (bags, caddies, cartons, boxes, etc.) into finished cases. Inspecting finished product, as well as primary and secondary packaging for defects (broken, doubles, count, poor seals, code dates, etc.) and packing primary packages (bags, cartons, etc.) into finished Master Cases. Ensuring that all finished product meets, or exceeds, quality standards. Having a thorough understanding of quality standards, quality, and the ability to sort out product which does not meet quality and specifications and standards. Working in a manner that enables to produce the highest quality, safest and most cost efficient products possible. Knowing, understanding, and complying with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety regulations and practices, and Safety Rules. Have a thorough understanding of SSOP. Have a thorough understanding of Quality Control Forms HACCP and CCP. Operates, maintains and regulates conveyor belts carrying goods to be packaged. Weighs packages and will adjusts quantity as needed to meet performance standards. Labels master cases, bags, and products that require labeling while maintaining the line to standard. Maintains a variety of records and logs such as weight, time and date packaged per customer requirements. Will stamp, write or affixes caddies on packages materials. Prepares and maintains inventory records per batch order producing. Performs backup duties for related positions. Have a thorough understanding of AX, consumption and RAF. Physical/Environmental Requirements: Standing on a concrete floor. Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform). Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Required to work weekends during peak season. Required to work mandatory overtime when needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Good observational skills to spot defective products.
  • Patience to carry out repetitive tasks.
  • The ability to work quickly to meet production targets.
  • Great team working skills and the ability to work on your own.
  • The ability to follow strict and safe guidelines and quality procedures.
  • A willingness to work flexibly.
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and experience demonstrating ability to perform the job duties.
  • Working knowledge of packaging principles and practices; requirements; working knowledge of recording keeping systems.
  • Skill in packaging a variety of materials according to an established routine.
  • Ability to package a variety of material in an efficient manner and orderly; ability to maintain routine records; ability to establish effective working relationships; ability to maintain routine production schedules.
  • Work area is to be KEPT CLEAN at all times.
  • Good attendance is a condition of employment.
