About The Position

Buck & Rider is looking for Line Cooks, Grill Cooks, and Sauté Cooks to join our elite team and support our upcoming growth! Buck & Rider is a Seafood Eatery and Oyster Bar known for its seafood-centric menu, fun vibe, youthful energy, and clean lineup of food and drinks. Everything is fresh—from the raw bar to locally sourced vegetables. Our team even picks up fresh fish directly from Sky Harbor Airport and distributes it across our Arcadia, North Scottsdale, and Gilbert locations. This is your opportunity to work in one of Phoenix’s most acclaimed restaurants. As a Line Cook, Grill Cook, or Sauté Cook at Buck & Rider, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, preparing and executing high-quality dishes with consistency, precision, and speed. Requirements

  • Prior experience as a line cook, grill cook, sauté cook, or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Strong understanding of station organization, recipe execution, and quality standards
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to read tickets, follow directions, and adapt during service
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Food Handler’s Card
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Buck & Rider recipe and presentation standards
  • Work across line, grill, and sauté stations as assigned to support daily service needs
  • Ensure food is executed with the highest quality in both taste and appearance
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of your station throughout each shift
  • Demonstrate accuracy and speed in a high-volume environment
  • Read tickets carefully and execute orders accurately, accommodating modifications as needed
  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times
  • Communicate effectively with chefs, leaders, and team members to ensure smooth service
  • Take direction from management and contribute to a culture of professionalism and teamwork
  • Maintain endurance for extended periods on your feet in a busy kitchen environment
