About The Position

Mission Yogurt is seeking full-time Line Cooks for Root Down, located inside the Denver Airport. An outpost of Chef Justin Cucci’s popular Denver eatery, Root Down DIA consistently and passionately serves every guest organic, farm-to-table, and globally inspired cuisine. Root Down offers quality, freshness, and flavor, artistically presented. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and quality standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen. This role supports efficient kitchen operations and ensures timely, consistent food execution in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Candidates who possess at least two years of restaurant cooking experience.
  • Delivery of superior food service, maximizing customer satisfaction.

  • Adheres to Mission Yogurt's safety, sanitation, and cleanliness policies and practices.
  • Ensures all operating and quality standards are met.
  • Upholds a professional and ethical management style and presentation.
  • Assesses work-related issues in a professional manner and exercises honest, non-biased judgment.
  • Previous experience as a line cook, BOH prep, grill cook, and team member.
  • Ensures safety and security of both guests and team members.
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year background check per TSA guidelines.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for up to 10 hours.
  • Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching overhead, and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds, and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food according to Mission’s set standards.
  • Aid fellow kitchen staff in the preparation of food items.
  • Set up allocated stations as instructed by the BOH Leadership.
  • Embody and promote consistency and efficiency in food preparation, food handling, sanitization, and safety standards.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers!
  • Will be responsible for deep cleaning their station after each shift.
