The objective of the Line Cook position is to place items required for workstations according to par sheets or instructions from Sous Chef and prepare products assigned to workstation during service.

Requirements

Follows all state and local health and food safety regulations.
Follows all safety procedures for operating and cleaning machinery.
Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
High School diploma or GED
A minimum three months related experience or training.
Must have basic culinary fundamental knowledge and be familiar with all kitchen equipment and machinery.

Nice To Haves

Food safety certification preferred

Responsibilities

Prepares meats, seafood, vegetables and other items required for line and special function purposes.
Carefully follows standard recipes when preparing all items.
Assists with preparation of other food products on serving line as needed.
Cleans workstation and food preparation utensils.
Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices including those related to personal hygiene.
Completes other appropriate tasks assigned by the Sous Chef.
