About The Position

Line Cook The line cook ensures that each food item is prepared with the highest quality and care. Duties include accurately and efficiently cooking food as well as follow all guidelines, sanitation and basic safety in order to produce food according to the OPH standard. Performance Expectations Accepts 100% responsibility for quality, food safety/sanitation and timeliness of products served Arrives on time for all scheduled shifts and meetings Makes menu items to meet quality, portion and time standards Maintains a clean and sanitary work space Practices good personal hygiene Timely and accurately completes prep list including stocking, rotating and clean-up Maintains line cleanliness (includes counter, cutting boards, floor, trash, etc.) Closes the kitchen properly and follows the opening and closing checklist for the kitchen stations completing deep clean projects as dictated by leadership Performs other related duties as assigned by leadership Assist co-workers with anything that is necessary or requested Asks questions whenever necessary Asks for help whenever necessary Success Patterns for this position are Exhibits strong organizational skills Works very effectively as part of the team Recognizes when help is needed and is willing to ask for it Makes food to quality and portion specifications Able to work all scheduled shifts including weekends and holidays Arrives to work on time Is fun to work with Must be able to work at a fast pace Physical Requirement Bending, stooping and being positioned upright for long periods of time Must be able to safely move/lift/relocate up to 50 lbs Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 12 hours) Successful Candidates will have the following Personal Characteristics: Feels passionate about cooking and giving great service to all guests both internally and externally Enjoys working under pressure, where timeliness is critical Takes pride in being consistent Self-motivated, especially under pressure Able to accept constructive criticism and improve from it Able to effectively manage their emotions in the workplace Communicate effectively and efficiently Works with attention to detail Brings positive energy and enthusiasm in all interactions
