JOB SUMMARY: The Line Cook prepares and plates high-quality meals that meet the chef’s exact specifications and works at specific stations in the kitchen, such as grill, sauté, or frier. They are responsible for assembling ingredients, prepping food, and plating dishes with a limited amount of time. Line cooks monitor their station and stock it with necessary supplies. Other responsibilities include ensuring all food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, managing multiple orders simultaneously and coordinating with other kitchen staff on the timely delivery of each dish. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1+ year experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of food safety practices
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Aptitude for multi-tasking
  • Ability to work a flexible scheduling including nights and weekends required
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8-hour shifts
  • Lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
  • Must be able to bend, stretch and reach for extended periods of time
  • Regularly required to talk and hear
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers; ability to feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Specific vision abilities required in this role include close vision and distance vision
  • Logic and thinking process must be quick and unencumbered

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate in culinary arts or related field preferred
