Requirements

• Previous cooking experience preferred (healthcare or senior living a plus)
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and strong time-management skills
• Must be able to pass background check and required health screenings

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to posted menus and dietary guidelines
• Follow special diets and texture modifications as ordered (low sodium, diabetic, mechanical soft, etc.)
• Ensure all meals are prepared and served on time
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures
• Assist with inventory, food rotation, and kitchen organization
• Work collaboratively with dietary staff, caregivers, and leadership
• Treat residents with respect, patience, and kindness at all times
