About The Position

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and quality standards. Working on a specific station or section of the kitchen line, the Line Cook ensures timely and consistent production of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, while following food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen preferred (but not always required)
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and culinary techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Work near hot equipment and sharp tools

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the station throughout service.
  • Assist with prep work, including chopping vegetables, making sauces, and marinating proteins.
  • Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team.
  • Manage ticket orders efficiently during busy service hours.
  • Alert the manager to any equipment issues or food shortages.
  • Help with closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and proper storage of food.
