About The Position

The beautiful, family friendly Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace is seeking a Cook ll to join their culinary team! This 1000+ room property is connected by pedestrian skybridge to Disney Springs® and offers luxury suites and amenities for magical vacations! The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of professional Line Cook experience, experience supporting high-volume operations, possess strong food safety knowledge, knife skills, and an understanding of cooking temperatures. A current ServSafe certification and hotel background are a plus but not required. Shift Pattern: Full Availability. Candidate will work rotating shifts throughout the week; Including weekdays, weekends, and holidays What will I be doing? As a Line Cook ll, you would be responsible for preparing cold food items in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Requirements

  • 2-3 years of professional Line Cook experience
  • Experience supporting high-volume operations
  • Possess strong food safety knowledge, knife skills, and an understanding of cooking temperatures

Responsibilities

  • Prepares all food items according to standard recipes and/or as specified on guest check to ensure consistency of product to the guest
  • Visually inspects, selects and uses only food items ideal cooking, in preparation of all menu items
  • Checks and controls the proper storage of product, monitoring age and condition of all food items to rotate and maintain highest quality
  • Keeps all refrigeration equipment, storage and working areas clean and clutter free, complying with Health department regulations
  • Prepares daily requisitions for supplies and food items for production
  • Reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
