About The Position

The Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista and Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace Hotel Complex is looking for their next Complex Event Manager. Located in the Disney Springs® area, Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista and Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace are ideal for meetings and events. Just steps apart, these two properties offer a combined 1,826 guest rooms and over 200,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, making them a convenient and versatile option for conferences of all sizes. Our ideal candidate has at least one year of event management experience in a hotel environment and is experienced in supporting valued convention clients throughout the conference planning process. Strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and full schedule flexibility are essential for success in this role. This position is based within a hotel complex, where managing multiple conferences and working seamlessly across two hotel properties is a regular part of the role. This role is an in‑office position. Pay Range: This is salaried role and the position qualifies to be part of the Hilton Incentive plan that is paid quarterly, based on performance. Shift Pattern: Typical office hours of 8:30AM – 5:00 PM with required flexibility to adjust schedules for early mornings or late evenings on all days based on assigned convention schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals.
  • Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person.
  • Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes.
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts.
  • Selling and influencing both internal and external clients.
  • Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution.
  • Ensure high-quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.
  • Other duties as necessary based on business needs.
