About The Position

At the Carnegies Café, our culinary team brings comfort classics, fresh flavors, and warm hospitality to guests from sunrise to late night. We’re looking for a reliable, energetic Line Cook to help prepare the fresh, flavorful dishes that Carnegies Café is known for. This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced kitchen where teamwork, consistency, and attention to detail make all the difference.

Requirements

3–6 months of kitchen experience in a restaurant, hotel, or casino preferred
Ability to follow recipes and cooking sequences
Comfort using kitchen tools such as knives, fryers, grills, and ovens
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work in a high‑heat, fast‑paced environment
Valid SNHD Health Card
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods
Basic math skills for measurements and portioning
Fluent in English for effective communication
Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and portion standards
Work multiple stations including grill, sauté, fry, pantry, and prep
Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation in compliance with SNHD and company standards
Assist with daily prep, restocking, and proper food storage
Follow food safety procedures including labeling, rotation, and temperature control
Support opening and closing duties including equipment setup and breakdown
Communicate clearly with chefs and teammates to ensure smooth service
Deliver Family‑Style Service in every interaction with guests and team members
