About The Position

Works in a fast-paced environment, where workflow may be interrupted throughout the course of the day without warning, requiring the team member to adapt. This position will learn entire kitchen operation. Will follow all food safety guidelines set forth by regulatory agency and follow Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel Casino policy, etc. This position ensures the confidentiality, security and accuracy of guest’s records, and promotes positive guest and team member relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, and on occasion, later hours or weekend time may be required with project deadlines and a neat well-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of culinary experience in a high volume kitchen, required.
  • Must have basic knife handling skills, and experience with a variety of cooking techniques.
  • Must know State and County sanitation procedures and will be required to possess current Washington State Food Handlers Permit, ServeSafe Permit, preferred.
  • A pleasant personality, team oriented and enjoys working with in a fast-paced environment.
  • Will comply with, all Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel Policies and Procedures, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old and have the ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class II Gaming License; successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • This position requires footwear with non-skid, slip resistant soles that will enable the team member to navigate a kitchen environment safely on floor surfaces commonly found in restaurants (i.e. smooth, wet and greasy restaurant quarry tile).

Responsibilities

  • Checks daily forecast for functions for that day and evening and for the following days.
  • Responsible for setting up and breaking down various cook’s stations and filling the supply requisitions for them.
  • All food products (hot and cold) are full, clean and garnished at all times.
  • Responsible for setting up and breaking down their station and filling the supply requisitions for them.
  • Must know and understand, and eventually perform all tasks carried out in the kitchen.
  • When using electrical equipment, after use make sure the equipment is ready for use to accomplish next task.
  • Make sure station is cleaned and properly stocked for on-coming shift.
  • All stock is properly dated and rotated.
  • Is current on facility Disaster Plan and acts accordingly.
  • Works safely and efficiently, utilizing safe equipment, techniques, and use necessary PPE (personal protection equipment) when provided.
  • Responsible for maintaining high quality of products that the position is responsible for.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
