About The Position

We are seeking a PRN Limited Scope Radiologic Technologist who is passionate about patient care, safety, and clinical excellence. This role is ideal for a technologist who values teamwork, autonomy, and the opportunity to contribute meaningful diagnostic support in a supportive healthcare environment. The Limited Scope Radiologic Technologist performs imaging exams for which they meet Core Exam Specifications and as allowed by their Limited Scope Radiographer license. The technologist demonstrates competency through successful completion of skills testing and ongoing competency review, while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high‑quality diagnostic images.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Practical Radiologic Technologist / Limited Scope Operator in the state of practice OR ARRT Board Registry Eligible per state requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
  • Demonstrated competency in at least one of the following areas: Chest Extremities Spine Skull Podiatry Bone Densitometry (DEXA)

  • One year of experience in an ambulatory outpatient clinic environment

Responsibilities

  • Ensures proper patient identification and order verification prior to each exam
  • Prepares patients for imaging procedures with professionalism, empathy, and respect
  • Clearly explains procedures to patients and families to promote understanding, cooperation, and comfort
  • Responds compassionately to patient questions and concerns
  • Performs radiologic exams that produce high‑quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient and staff safety
  • Adheres to established imaging protocols, correct patient positioning, and radiation protection guidelines
  • Recognizes emergent patient situations and responds appropriately and promptly
  • Completes all required documentation accurately, including time stamps and image storage
  • Communicates and coordinates pertinent patient care information with other healthcare providers
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment, including proper storage of supplies and equipment
  • Pursues ongoing education and professional development, particularly related to new procedures and imaging equipment
