About The Position
Overview JOB SUMMARY A medical assistant functions under the direction, guidance, and supervision of a licensed physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or RN. A medical assistant assists in coordinating all aspects of the care received in the Urgent Care setting. A limited Radiological Technician performs Radiologic examination on patients of all ages and provides Radiologist with finished exams for interpretation.
Requirements
- Vitals, triage categories, medication administration, splinting, competency in lab and radiology orders, knowledge of medication rotation and record keeping.
- Ability to perform diagnostic radiology exams.
- Must hold and maintain (via required continuing education credits) current certifications from the ARRT, CRT for a limited practice technician permit.
- Current BLS card from American Heart Association (AHA).
- Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
Nice To Haves
- Urgent care experience preferred.
