About The Position

Works individually and collaboratively as a member of the Lighting team to design, implement and configure Eagle Brook Church’s lighting systems Primarily focuses on lighting systems with opportunities to program lighting Reports to the Lead Lighting Designer

Requirements

  • Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook Church’s 9 core beliefs
  • 5+ years of experience with AVL and networking equipment
  • Trade or technical degree
  • Experience with lighting consoles, networking, moving and static fixtures, DMX nodes, media servers, LED processors, temporary rigging equipment and power infrastructure
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to operate and troubleshoot technical equipment within lighting systems
  • Ability to quickly learn basic operation and troubleshooting of all AVL systems
  • Ability to lead projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Ability to lead system installations from concept through operation

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • Ability to engineer and create line drawings within AutoCAD, Vectorworks or equivalent
  • Expert ability to engineer and create line drawings within AutoCAD, Vectorworks or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Lead Production Systems Engineer in developing and maintaining lighting system standards across all locations
  • Serves as the lighting representative on design, implementation and oversight for expansion and capital projects
  • Uses judgment and decision-making skills to solve complex lighting systems issues for all locations
  • Develops, implements and enforces preventative maintenance standards
  • Provides technical training on lighting systems for staff and volunteers
  • Responsible for all campus lighting systems with the help of the Lighting team
  • Programs lighting for services when available and needed
  • Supports campus teams during execution of services and events
  • Evaluates and recommends new lighting technologies and equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
