About The Position

The Lighting Quotations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in coordinating the bidding quotation process for customer requests and projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while aligning with sales and profitability objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in business or related field or equivalent on the job experience as determined by Echo Electric.
  • 2+ years of experience with electrical and lighting products and other related project material.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once while ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills to keep track of various projects at different phases.
  • Customer and vendor relationship building and maintenance skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to accurately read blueprints and spec layouts.
  • Strong attention to details and demonstrated follow-up skills.
  • Demonstrated time management, including the ability to plan and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Personal characteristic of flexibility to adapt to changing workload volume or shifting priorities.
  • Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of light fixtures, fixture schedules and lighting controls is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track multiple lighting projects at once to ensure accurate, timely quotations that support sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyzes project blueprints to identify light fixtures and controls specifications for preparing a bill of materials.
  • Formulates unique pricing strategies in collaboration with sales and management representatives.
  • Submits project bid proposals accurately and within deadlines.
  • Monitors ordering activities associated with bid projects to ensure pricing and terms accuracy.
  • Communicates proactively with customers throughout the quotation/bid process.
  • Stays informed about inventory, including appropriate product substitutions.
  • Develops and enhances product knowledge, attending relevant training classes.
  • Negotiates special pricing contracts and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact by resolving questions, following up proactively, and maintaining strong, service‑oriented relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Fosters effective working relationships with Sales Associates, Inside Sales Associates, and support personnel.
