The Light Maintenance Technician - Mid position involves general light maintenance activities within the Process Area Support environment. This role requires working in a team-oriented and safety-conscious manner, performing sanitation and cleaning tasks according to master schedules, and assisting with general maintenance, railroad, and groundwork such as mowing, trimming, landscaping, and snow removal. The technician will operate various equipment including skid steer loaders, scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and hand & power tools. Effective communication with supervisors and customers, adherence to work schedules, and the ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays are essential. The position also involves working from elevated areas and performing administrative duties like time accounting and work order completion, while maintaining positive customer and employee relations.

Requirements

Ability to work and direct personnel in a team-oriented and safety conscious environment.
Ability to comply with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.
Working knowledge and trained to operate skid steer loaders, scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and hand & power tools.
Ability to wear a respirator.
Ability to effectively communicate with supervisor and customer.
Ability to maintain adherence to work schedule and be available for overtime, weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.
Ability to work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc. utilizing fall protection equipment.
Ability to maintain communication with supervisor regarding unresolved work issues, personnel issues, and employee complaints.
Ability to meet physical requirements of the job.
Ability to perform assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner.
Ability to perform accurate and timely administrative duties including time accounting and work order completion.
Ability to maintain positive customer and employee relations.
Ability to ensure compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.

Nice To Haves

2 years in industrial cleaning desirable.
Maintenance knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

Work and direct personnel in a team-oriented and safety conscious environment.
Comply with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures, including PJHA process and Observation process.
Perform sanitation and cleaning of assigned areas following master cleaning schedules and procedures.
Perform sanitation and cleaning consisting of washing down, shoveling, and sweeping.
Clean screens with the aid of a respirator.
Maintain adherence to work schedule and work overtime, weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.
Assist in some maintenance, railroad, and groundwork such as mowing, trimming, landscaping, and snow removal.
Operate skid steer loaders, scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and hand & power tools.
Effectively communicate with supervisor and customer to accomplish assigned tasks and develop sound customer relations.
Maintain adherence to the published work schedule and be available to work overtime as required by demands of the job.
Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc. utilizing fall protection equipment when required by the job.
Maintain communication with supervisor regarding unresolved work issues, personnel issues, and employee complaints.
Work all shifts including holidays and weekends when demanded by the job.
Perform other work as defined by company and/or customer.
Ensure compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
