About The Position

Light-Duty Mechanic for our shop serving the City of Pittsburgh fleet! $3,000 Sign-On Bonus When applying, be sure to upload a resume , or input at least 3+ years of employment history. Transdev is proud to offer : Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement: $28.00 – 37.00 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale) Benefits include: PTO: 4 hours accrued monthly. Medical, dental & vision available first calendar day after employment hire date for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays. Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement. Annual allowance for boots, prescription safety glasses, and tools. Shifts Available: 11:00 am - 7:30 pm

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license required
• At least 3 years of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair employment experience or a combination of technical school education & experience.
• Mechanic’s toolset
• Must be willing to participate in the company ASE certification program (company training, testing, and bonuses provided!)
• Subject to DOT drug testing.
• DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
• Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• ASE certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
• Diagnose and perform all vehicle and equipment repair phases, including brakes, suspensions, engines, drivetrains, transmissions, and other repairs.
• Ensure work orders are completed accurately.
• Assist with road calls and emergency services as necessary.
