About The Position

Primary Duties Observes the “General Rules for All Employees” at all times. Unloads and loads forest products which include: crossties, switch ties, and lumber. Correctly completing proper paperwork when necessary. Completes preventative maintenance checklist, and performs preventative maintenance when possible. Stacks ties in accordance with customer specifications. Keeps work area clean and free of debris Performs other duties as assigned. May be required to mark ties for proper saw kerfing. May be required to place identification numbers on materials (for example, labeling of runs.). When setting in to our tie unloaders, the operator must provide his supervisor with the proper paperwork for his unloading report. SH&E Responsibilities Observes all safety rules, regulations, and Koppers Inc. policies. Promptly reports all incidents, injuries, damages, or other SH&E issues. Keeps work area clean and orderly. Inspects the equipment for leaks and makes or seeks repairs when found. Requirements

  • Pass pre-employment medical screening
  • Certified as a powered industrial equipment operator
  • Demonstrates acceptable retention level for the required training elements
