Requirements
- Ability to operate forklift
- Knowledge of tagging procedures
- Ability to lift a min of 50 pounds safely and correctly
- Understanding of the importance of segregation steel grades, sizes and heat codes
- Availability to work all shifts
Responsibilities
- Maintain oil level, transmission fluid level, hydraulic fluid level, brake fluid and engine coolant level of lift truck
- Report any malfunctions of truck to supervisor
- Comply with all safety requirements - fill out all required forms
- Store in a safe and orderly fashion all forgings leaving the forge area
- Tag all containers leaving the forge area with proper identification
- Supply forge crews with steel and hot boxes as needed
- Remove all slugs, flashing s, etc. from forging operation and dispose if properly
- Keep lift trucks inspected and Forge area clean and neat
- Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor
