Requirements

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair mechanical systems, preferably with experience in ski lift maintenance or a related field.
  • Safety Conscious: Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols, with the ability to prioritize safety in all aspects of the job.
  • Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Physical Stamina: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions and at high elevations.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Resourceful and proactive approach to troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain relevant certifications for lift maintenance and operation.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as needed, especially during peak ski season.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on ski lift equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical issues with ski lifts and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards while conducting maintenance and repairs on ski lift machinery.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for regulatory compliance and historical reference.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other lift mechanics, ski patrol, and resort management to coordinate maintenance schedules and address operational needs.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to any lift-related emergencies or malfunctions, following established protocols to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and stay current with industry best practices and advancements.
