About The Position

Acquire on-the-job training while participating in performing all required routine and non-routine maintenance Assist in recording all maintenance performed on the standard departmental work order forms with as much detailed information as possible Perform pre-operational and daily inspections of lift equipment Assist technicians in responding to mechanical/electrical downtime Works as a lift operator during maintenance work Assists lift maintenance technicians with line work Assists lift maintenance technicians with grip maintenance Assists with rigging operations Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary. Oils and lubricates parts on lift to ensure effective performance. Participates in special projects for maintenance Maintains a clean and safe work environment Performs tasks as requested by Lift Maintenance Manager Assist Lift Operations department to ensure proper use of lift equipment (i.e. training, observing winds, etc.) Keep parts, materials, and tools organized and clean Work as a lift operator when needed

Requirements

  • Moderate mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to operate lift equipment
  • Strong safety inclination
  • Works well independently and with others
  • Good communication skills
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use harness and other fall protection equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights on platforms, railings, structural steel beams, etc., and to climb vertical lift tower ladders ranging to 150 ft.,
  • Able to suspend oneself in an approved safety harness and remain suspended for periods of up to one hour.
  • Ability to balance and ride moving carriers, such as work chairs and tram carriages.
  • Self-evacuation from a stranded chair, gondola cabin, or the Aerial Tram.
  • Lifting and carrying 75 lbs (minimum) on a daily basis.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • All-terrain fork lift operations.
  • Advanced ski or snowboard ability to move around the mountain as needed.
  • High school diploma or GED diploma or equivalent number of years’ experience required.
  • Previous experience in lift operations required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to operate a snowmobile and ATV.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with maintenance or other mechanical work preferred.
  • Welding experience preferred.
