About The Position

Organize and manage documents to keep department files accurate and accessible. Assist with basic administrative tasks such as data entry and preparing materials for programs. Respond to parent and student inquiries via email and phone. Learn and use new technology systems to support departmental operations. Collaborate with staff to support lifelong learning initiatives and special projects. Assist with design, development, and publication of event flyers and brochures. Create engaging content for social media. Troubleshoot and ask thoughtful questions to improve processes and ensure quality work.

Requirements

  • Customer service, administrative, and/or operations experience preferred.
  • Quick learner on software platforms.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for telephone, email, and personal contact.
  • Must have a pleasant, helpful attitude, and enjoy customer service.
  • Attention to detail, organized, patient, and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and deliver requested results.
  • Willingness to work independently.
  • Candidates must be dependable and thorough.
  • A strong work ethic and internal drive to continually improve will be expected.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of LinkedIn.
  • Knowledge of Canva preferred.
  • Transportation. The Lifelong Learning House is located at 3099 Whitney Avenue and can be accessed by car or the QU Shuttle Whitney Village stop.
  • Available to work 10 hours a week, mainly between traditional business hours of 9am-5pm, Monday – Friday. You will be able to set your hours each week.
  • Occasional remote work will be considered.
