About The Position
The Alaska Club is currently hiring Lifeguards for a fun and dynamic position within its state-wide network of fitness clubs. No previous work experience is required, and the role offers a great team environment and flexible work schedule. Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring pool safety in the water and on the pool deck by providing direction and assistance. This position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills and provide life-saving skills to the community, making it ideal for students or parents seeking part-time work. There is also potential for additional hours as a Swim Instructor.
Requirements
- 16 years of age or older
- Ability to swim free-style / crawl stroke
- Red Cross Certification (provided by The Alaska Club)

Responsibilities
- Ensure pool safety in the water and on the pool deck
- Provide direction and assistance in a variety of situations
- Help develop leadership skills
- Provide life-saving skills to the community
- Supervise patrons in pool during open swim, lap swim, swim lessons, and water aerobics
- Support fellow Lifeguards and cooperate as a team
