About The Position
The Alaska Club is hiring Lifeguards for a flexible, part-time position within a fitness environment. No previous work experience is required, and on-the-job training and Red Cross Certification are provided. This role involves ensuring pool safety in the water and on the pool deck by providing direction and assistance. It's an opportunity to develop leadership and life-saving skills, ideal for students or parents seeking part-time work, with potential for additional hours as a Swim Instructor.
Requirements
- 16 years of age or older
- Ability to swim free-style / crawl stroke
- Red Cross Certification (provided by The Alaska Club)

Responsibilities
- Ensure pool safety in the water and on the pool deck by providing direction and assistance in a variety of situations
- Supervise patrons in pool during open swim, lap swim, swim lessons, and water aerobics
- Support fellow Lifeguards and cooperate as a team
