About The Position

The lifeguard is responsible for the safety, supervision and customer service of all persons using water pool facilities. He/she works under the supervision of the Recreational Therapy Coordinator and/or Nursing Supervisor. He or she must have current American Red Cross Training, First aid, and CPR certificates. Additional duties may be assigned. The lifeguard must have good communication & customer service skills and be able to interact with members of all hospital departments.

Requirements

• Current American Red Cross Training Certificate
• First Aid & CPR Training Certificates
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must be willing to work flexible work hours, and be available to work as scheduled based upon the need of the department
• Must wear appropriate staff swim wear
• Employee may be asked to provide assistance and/or accommodations to include participants with disabilities

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as lifeguard, preferred.
