About The Position

HealthFitness is looking for Lifeguards to join the aquatics team at our corporate client site located in Racine, Wisconsin (WI). Potential shifts: Monday-Friday 5:15a-9, 9-12:30p, 3:30-8p Saturday 8a-1p or 1-4p Sunday 10a-4pm Responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
• Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.
• Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
• Respond appropriately to any emergency.
• Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
• Attend all required staff meetings and training.
• Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
• Maintain a professional attitude.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.
