About The Position

This position is responsible for: The Lifeguard ensures safe aquatic operations by observing swimmers, protecting life, preventing accidents, and enforcing facility regulations under the direction of the Lead Lifeguard.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required. Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Current certifications in: - American Red Cross First Aid (or equivalent Title 22 certification) - CPR for the Professional Rescuer (CPR Pro) - Lifeguard Training (equivalent certifications may be accepted)
• Must have the ability to swim with proficiency and endurance.
• Ability to tread water while holding a brick for 5 minutes.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Observe swimmers and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe, clean pool environment.
• Report equipment defects, facility issues, and safety concerns.
• Maintain professional attitude and attend required staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
