About The Position

The Tuxedo Club seeks experienced, enthusiastic and customer service-driven Lifeguards to join our team for the season! This job description in no way states or implies that this position is limited to the aforementioned duties. You may be required to perform other job-related duties assigned by your Supervisor, or Director.

Requirements

Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
Current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED
Must be able to enforce rules and regulations in a professional manner
Team player that is energetic, professional, and has a po sitive attitude
Must be able to work varied shifts which include weekdays, weekends & holidays
May need to work in wet or humid conditions, near moving parts, near fumes or airborne particles, in extreme non-weather heat, & in extreme non-weather cold
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, use hands & fingers, reach with hands & arms, talk &/or hear
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, & depth perception
Employees must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs multiple times per day, & push a cart weighing up to 100lbs
Expect to be on their feet for up to 6 hours at at time
Must practice proper body mechanics & use appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid injury

Nice To Haves

Current WSY certification preferred
1 year Lifeguard experience preferred

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety of all members and guests in the pool area
Ensure all NYS Health & Safety Standards and Codes are followed by maintaining proper balances of pool chemicals and cleanliness of all aquatic operations
Complete daily operations forms for opening/closing of each shift
Assist Pool Director with all documentation for NYS and The Tuxedo Club and all ad-hoc projects
