About The Position

Join the Orange County Parks and Recreation team as a Lifeguard! We're looking for responsible and dedicated individuals to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our visitors. As a lifeguard, you'll be responsible for maintaining a safe environment, providing top-tier customer service, and responding to any emergencies. No experience? No problem! Requirements

SWIMMERS!!!
Must pass American Red Cross Deep Water Lifeguard Swim Test
All selected candidates must pass required certifications: American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid. (Certifications provided by Orange County Parks and Recreation)
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to pass a drug screening and a Level II DCF Background Investigation.
Selected candidate will be required to successfully complete the pre-employment drug, physical and background check.
This position requires a Level II DCF background.

Responsibilities

Rescuing bathers in distress and/or drowning situations; administering resuscitations and first aid, required.
Enforcing the rules and regulations related to swimming areas.
Resolving complaints and maintaining good public relations with the patrons.
Maintaining order and discipline among bathers and other persons in assigned area.
Maintaining the general appearance and cleanliness of assigned area when lifeguard duties permit.
