Are you a strong swimmer with a passion for ensuring the safety of others? We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Lifeguard at our client site located in Marysville, Ohio (OH) . As a lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all aquatic facility members and guests. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference and contribute to the well-being of our community. Flexible schedule within the following hours of operation: M-F 5am-6pm, Sat 10am-3pm.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
- Site may be able to provide Lifeguard certification training at discounted rate.
- Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
- Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.
- Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.
- All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of: 500 yard swim. Active, Passive, Submerged rescues. Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water. Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
- Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
- Respond appropriately to any emergency.
- Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
- Attend all required staff meetings and training.
- Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
- Maintain a professional attitude.
- Other duties as needed/assigned.
