Job Summary The Pool Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests using the hotel pool facilities. This role involves monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety rules, and providing immediate assistance in emergencies. The Lifeguard plays a critical role in creating a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests while promoting poolside activities and amenities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; certification in lifeguarding and CPR/First Aid is required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a hotel or recreational setting.
Strong swimming skills and the ability to perform rescues and emergency procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

Monitor the pool area and guests to ensure safety and compliance with pool rules and regulations.
Respond promptly to emergencies, including performing first aid and CPR when necessary.
Conduct regular safety checks of the pool area, including water quality and equipment functionality.
Enforce pool safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
Provide assistance and guidance to guests regarding pool activities and amenities.
Maintain a clean and organized pool area, including cleaning and tidying up surrounding spaces.
Report any safety hazards, maintenance needs, or guest concerns to the pool manager or supervisor.
Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests at the pool.
Assist with special events or activities at the pool as directed by management.
